Rawalpindi ( or ; Urdu, ) is a city in the Punjab province of Pakistan. General Jehangir Karamat ( ur, ; born 20 February 1941) best known as JK, is a senior Pakistan Army officer who served as the 6th Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan Army, from 12 January 1996 to 6 October 1998. diplomat, public intellectual, and a former professor of political science at the National Defense University.
