The Government Sadiq College Women University (GSCWU) ( ur, ) is a public university located in Bahawalpur, Punjab, Pakistan. History The College was founded by Nawab Sir Sadiq Khan Abbasi V as an intermediate college in 1944. In 1957, it was upgraded to a degree college. The Governor of Punjab is the appointed head of state of the provincial government in Punjab, Pakistan. Although the Governor is the head of the province on paper, it is largely a ceremonial position; and the main powers lie with the Chief Minister Punjab and Chief Secretary Punjab.
