Anna Maria Gove
Anna Maria Gove (July 6, 1867 – January 28, 1948) was an American physician. Gove was born on July 6, 1867, in Whitefield, New Hampshire, to George Sullivan and Maria Clark Gove. After her education at MIT and Woman's Medical College of New York Infirmary, from which she graduated in 1892, Gove served for a year in the New York Infant Asylum. In 1893 she came to the State Normal and Industrial School (now UNCG). Gove was only the third woman to receive a medical license in the state of North Carolina. She remained at the school as resident physician, professor of hygiene, and director of the Department of Health until her retirement in 1937. The original campus infirmary that was built in 1911 was named in Gove's honor. The infirmary built in 1953 to replace the original infirmary was also named the Gove Infirmary. Cyril George Gove (10 January 1890 – 28 August 1973) was an Australian rules footballer who played with Essendon in the Victorian Football League (VFL). David Gove
David Thomas Gove (May 4, 1978 – April 5, 2017) was an American ice hockey player and head coach of the Wheeling Nailers of the ECHL. He last played with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League (AHL) during the 2008–09 season. Though he primarily played in the minor leagues, Gove did appear in two games with the Carolina Hurricanes of the National Hockey League (NHL) between 2005 and 2007. DiAnne C. Gove (born February 15, 1951) is an American Republican Party politician who served in the New Jersey General Assembly representing the 9th Legislative District from 2009 to 2024. She was sworn in on December 7, 2009, to fill the vacant seat left by the resignation of fellow Republican Daniel Van Pelt after his arrest on corruption charges. He played college golf at Pepperdine University. He turned professional in 1994. Jennifer Anne Gove (born 28 August 1940) is a South African former cricketer who played as an all-rounder. She appeared in seven Test matches for South Africa between 1960 and 1972, and is the side's leading run-scorer in Test cricket, with 256 runs. She played domestic cricket for Natal. Jesse Augustus Gove (December 5, 1824 – June 27, 1862) was an American soldier and lawyer, noteworthy for his military career and his role as a colonel in the American Civil War. After graduating from the American Literary Scientific and Military Academy at Norwich, Vermont, Gove served in the Mexican–American War. After the war, he left the army and became a lawyer in New Hampshire, then returned to army service in 1855. Biography Born as Daisy Pannill in February 1877 in San Francisco, United States, Marguerite Gove was the fifth child of Walter Pannill (1841–1913) and Carrie Reid Jenkins (1848–1895), a journalist.
