Goulburn County is one of the 141 Cadastral divisions of New South Wales. It contains the city of Albury, and the towns of Jindera, Bowna and Woomargama. Holbrook, New South Wales
Holbrook is a small town in Southern New South Wales, Australia. It is on the Hume Highway, by road North-East of Melbourne and by road south-west of Sydney between Tarcutta, New South Wales, Tarcutta and Albury. The town is in the Greater Hume Shire which was established in May 2004 from the merger of Culcairn, New South Wales, Culcairn Shire with the majority of Holbrook Shire and part of the Hume Shire. At the 2016 Australian census, 2016 census, Holbrook had a population of 1,715 people. The district around Holbrook is renowned for local produce including merino wool, wheat and other grains, lucerne, fat cattle and lamb. Gerogery ( ) is a town established on Wiradjuri land in the Riverina region of the Australian state of New South Wales. The town is in the Greater Hume Shire local government area and on the Main South railway line between Sydney and Melbourne, where it intersects with the Olympic Highway. Gerogery serves a rural farming community. Gerogery has a temperate climate. It lies close to the Great Yambla Range, with its striking Tabletop and Sugar Loaf ridge at the southern end. Cookardinia, New South Wales
Cookardinia is a rural locality in the Riverina region of New South Wales, Australia. The locality is south of the regional city of Wagga Wagga and east of the town of Henty. Its surrounding area has an approximate population of 283 persons. The place name 'Cookardinia' is derived from the local Aboriginal word meaning "the place of the giant kingfisher", probably a reference to the Kookaburra and hence the phonetic similarity. Only several buildings remain, including the old 'Buckaringa' woolshed on the Cookardinia-Henty Road and the Memorial Hall built in 1925. On the intersection of the Henty, Culcairn and Holbrook roads can be seen the (rapidly deteriorating) ruins of the Squatter's Arms Inn which was built in 1848. Carabost is a foresting community in the south-east part of the Riverina. It is situated about 16 kilometres north west of Rosewood and 22 kilometres south east of Kyeamba. 200px, left, Facilities at Carabost Carabost can be found on the Tumbarumba Road near the location of the Carabost National Forest - a large Pine Plantation in the area.
