Gouken
is a Character (arts), fictional character in the ''Street Fighter'' video game series. He is the martial arts master who trained Ryu (Street Fighter), Ryu and Ken Masters, Ken, as well as the elder brother and former training partner of Akuma (Street Fighter), Akuma. Gouken is usually depicted as a bearded man who wears Japamala prayer beads on his neck and a karate gi with the kanji ''mu (negative), mu'' (wiktionary:無, 無) or "Anattā, void" sewn to the back. Although Gouken has been a supporting character in the ''Street Fighter'' series since ''Super Street Fighter II Turbo'', he did not make his first full-fledged appearance in the video game until his appearance as a hidden character in ''Street Fighter IV''. is a fictional Japanese fighting character and the main protagonist and master of ceremony of Capcom's ''Street Fighter'' series. Having premiered in the first ''Street Fighter'' in 1987, Ryu appears as the game's lead character alongside his best friend Ken Masters. He is the longest running ''fighting game'' character. Street Fighter IV
is a 2008 fighting game published by Capcom, who also co-developed the game with Dimps. It was the first original main entry in the series since '' Street Fighter III'' in 1997, a hiatus of eleven years. The coin-operated arcade game version was released in Japan on July 18, 2008, with North American arcades importing the machines by August. Sheng Long
Sheng Long is a character hoax related to the ''Street Fighter'' series, created by ''Electronic Gaming Monthly'' (''EGM'') as an April Fools' prank in 1992 (in an issue published mid-February). The joke, based upon a mistranslation that suggested the existence of a character named Sheng Long in the Capcom fighting game ''Street Fighter II'', described a method to fight the character in the game. After other publications reprinted the details as fact without verifying its legitimacy, the Sheng Long hoax spread worldwide. Akuma (Street Fighter)
Akuma (悪魔, Japanese for "Devil", "Demon"), known in Japan as , is a fictional character and secondary antagonist of the ''Street Fighter'' series of fighting games by Capcom. Akuma made his debut in '' Super Street Fighter II Turbo'' as a secret character and boss. In the storyline of the ''Street Fighter'' video games, he is the younger brother of Gouken, Ryu's and Ken's master. , originally spelled in kanji as with his original full name being unknown, is a fictional character in Capcom's ''Street Fighter'' series. Ken is the best friend and rival of Ryu, who has also appeared in all ''Street Fighter'' games. Ken's goal is to test his power against many different fighters, as he strives to become stronger. Dave Mallow (born October 19, 1948) is a retired American voice actor. Biography Mallow's father worked in radio and television and was a 30-year on-air veteran at Chicago's WGN.
