Gotcha! (1985 Film)
''Gotcha!'' is a 1985 American spy action comedy film, starring Anthony Edwards and Linda Fiorentino and directed by Jeff Kanew, who also directed Edwards in '' Revenge of the Nerds'' (1984). In the film, Jonathan Moore (Edwards) is a shy UCLA veterinary student and the reigning champion at "Gotcha", a campus-wide paintball game. While on vacation in Paris, he is seduced by an older woman, the sexy and mysterious Sasha (Fiorentino), and soon becomes embroiled in an international espionage operation. Plot Jonathan Moore, an 18-year-old veterinary student at UCLA, is an expert at "Gotcha", a popular Assassin-like game where students chase each other on campus using paintball guns. Jeffrey Roger Kanew (born December 16, 1944) is an American film director, screenwriter, film producer and film editor who early in his career made trailers for many films of the 1970s and is probably best known for directing the film '' Revenge of the Nerds'' (1984) and for editing ''Ordinary People''. Kanew directed '' Gotcha!'' (1985) and '' Tough Guys'' (1986), the final film pairing actors Kirk Douglas and Burt Lancaster, having initially directed Douglas in 1983's '' Eddie Macon's Run''. A traveller's cheque is a medium of exchange that can be used in place of the currency of a country. Each cheque is denominated in a preprinted fixed, round, amount of one of a number of major world currencies; it has two panels for a signature. The purchaser signs one panel of each cheque on receiving it; to use it, it is signed on the second panel and dated in the presence of the payee, who accepts it if the signatures match.
