"Got Me Saying Ooh" is the debut single from United Kingdom, British R&B singer Lemar. The song was his first and only single for RCA Records. The song is very different in style to Lemar's other material, as it contains a UK garage/dance oriented sound. The single was due for release on 1 October 2001 but failed to be released due to re-structuring at the label and he was subsequently dropped. The single is not contained on any of Lemar's four studio albums or his greatest hits album, however, the BKS remix is contained on his "Don't Give It Up (Lemar song), Don't Give It Up" CD single. Initially rising to fame after finishing third on the first series of British talent show ''Fame Academy'', he was later signed to Sony BMG, where he has gone on to release five studio albums, three of which are certified platinum or double platinum by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI). Contemporary R&B (or simply R&B) is a popular music genre that combines rhythm and blues with elements of pop, soul, funk, hip hop, and electronic music. UK garage, abbreviated as UKG, is a genre of electronic dance music which originated in England in the early to mid-1990s. The genre was most clearly inspired by garage house, but also incorporates elements from dance-pop, R&B, and jungle.
