Ernst Gossner
Ernst Gossner is an Austrian film director, screenwriter and producer best known for writing and directing the 2007 film '' South of Pico'' as well as 2014 film '' The Silent Mountain'' Background Gossner grew up in Tirol and had his first stage appearance at the age of 15. After graduating from Business School in 1992, Gossner worked at various jobs before he turned to acting full-time. Within the next seven years Ernst appeared in many plays in Austria, Germany and Italy. He also wrote and directed several stage plays and made his short film debut FLUCHT. The film became an internet phenomenon and in 1999 Ernst was accepted to the Directing Program at the AFI Conservatory in Los Angeles. His AFI thesis film BAR TIME was one of only five AFI alumni films ever released on DVD by the American Film Institute. Johannes Gossner
Johannes Evangelista Gossner (14 December 1773 – 20 March 1858), German divine and philanthropist, was born at Hausen near Augsburg. He was educated at the University of Dillingen. He, like Martin Boos and others, came under the spell of the Evangelical movement promoted by Johann Michael Sailer, the professor of pastoral theology. After taking priests' orders, Gossner held livings at Dirlewang (1804-1811) and Munich (1811-1817), but his evangelical tendencies brought about his dismissal and in 1826 he formally left the Roman Catholic for the Protestant communion. As Reformed (Calvinist) minister of Bethlehem's Church (1829-1846), a Lutheran and Reformed simultaneum in Berlin, he was conspicuous not only for practical and effective preaching, but for the founding of schools, asylums and missionary agencies. Miriam Gössner
Miriam Neureuther (''née'' Gössner; born 21 June 1990) is a former German biathlete and cross-country skier. She has won an Olympic silver medal in cross-country skiing and two biathlon world championship titles, all in team events. Noted for her fast skiing performances, she won two junior world championship titles in biathlon in 2008 and 2009. Gössner was called up for the Nordic World Ski Championships 2009, where she was part of Germany's cross-country team claiming silver in the 4 × 5 kilometre relay. At the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, Gössner won a silver medal in cross-country skiing in the 4 × 5 kilometre relay. She returned to biathlon for the 2010–11 season, achieving three podium finishes in her first complete winter on the Biathlon World Cup tour. Simone Daro Gossner
Simone Daro Gossner (1920–2002) was a Belgian-American astronomer specializing in eclipses at the Nautical Almanac Office of the United States Naval Observatory. Life Simone Daro was born on April 20, 1920, in Belgium, and was educated in Brussels. After the universities in Brussels were shut down in the German occupation of Belgium during World War II, she became an underground teacher, and was brought to Radcliffe College in 1946, through a program of the American Association of University Women to bring young women in war-torn parts of Europe to study in the US. She continued at Harvard University as a student of Harlow Shapley, and in 1947 married Joseph L. Gossner, another astronomer. She moved from Harvard to the Nautical Almanac Office in 1950, and worked there until 1961. Gossner Theological College
Gossner Theological College is the only Theological Seminary of Jharkhand affiliated to Serampore College. It is owned by Gossner Evangelical Lutheran Church in Chotanagpur and Assam. History The German missionaries sent by Fr. Johannes Evangelista Gossner from Berlin established the first Christian Church of the region in 1845 and a seminary in 1866 for the preparation of preachers, teachers and pastors. During the First World War the seminary was closed, to be reopened in 1921. Gossner College
The Gossner College is one of oldest institutions formed by the Gossner Evangelical and Lutheran Church. It is a minority college affiliated to Ranchi University.
