Gorăneşti
Topoloveni () is a town in Argeș County, Romania on the Cârcinov River. The town administers four villages: Boțârcani, Crintești, Gorănești and Țigănești. It is situated in the historical region of Muntenia. The oldest document in which Topoloveni is mentioned is dated 19 June 1421, during the rule of Radu II Chelul. Its name is derived from a Slavic word, ''topol'', meaning " poplar". Demographics According to thnational population and housing census in 2011 10,219 inhabitants were recorded as residents of the five component localities of Topoloveni, as follows: Topoloveni - 4,023, Țigănești - 418, Gorănești - 344, Crintești - 394 and Boțârcani - 361. Argeș County () is a county ('' județ'') of Romania, in Muntenia, with the capital city at Pitești. Muntenia (, also known in English as Greater Wallachia) is a historical region of Romania, part of Wallachia (also, sometimes considered Wallachia proper, as ''Muntenia'', ''Țara Românească'', and the seldom used ''Valahia'' are synonyms in Romanian). Radu II Praznaglava (Radu II Empty Head/in Old Slavic/), (? – 1428?) was a ruler of Wallachia in the 15th century, ruling for 4 terms, each time preceded by Dan II, his rival for the throne, and each time succeeded by him. Of those 4 periods on the throne of Wallachia, all were within a period of only 7 years, and 3 terms lasted less than a year. Ion Mihalache (; March 3, 1882 – February 5, 1963) was a Romanian agrarian politician, the founder and leader of the Peasants' Party (PȚ) and a main figure of its successor, the National Peasants' Party (PNȚ).
