Gornji Kuršanec
Gornji Kuršanec ( hu, Felsőzrínyifalva) is a village in Međimurje County, Croatia. It is part of the municipality of Nedelišće and had a population of 793 in the 2011 census. The village is located close to the Drava River and just over 3 kilometres from the centre of Varaždin, the county seat of Varaždin County. The D3 state road goes through the village, providing the main traffic connection between Varaždin and Čakovec, the county seat of Međimurje County. The railroad between the two cities also goes through the village. Also close to the village is Lake Varaždin, a reservoir lake on the Drava River. Lake Varaždin
Lake Varaždin ( hr, Varaždinsko jezero) is a reservoir on the Drava in northern Croatia. It is administratively divided between Međimurje County and Varaždin County, bordered by the municipalities of Varaždin, Trnovec Bartolovečki and Čakovec. The Drava flows into the reservoir near the city of Varaždin, while the dam is located near the village of Šemovec. Lake Varaždin is one of three reservoirs built on the Drava in Croatia, the other two being the smaller Lake Ormož (which is located on the border with Slovenia) and the bigger Lake Dubrava. The three reservoirs and the power plants they serve form the Hydro North group of hydro power plants run by the HEP Group. D3 (Croatia)
D3 is a state road in western parts of Croatia connecting Rijeka on the Adriatic coast to Zagreb, Karlovac and Varaždin, as well as to Goričan border crossing to Hungary. Furthermore, the D3 road is used as a parallel road to a number of motorways in Croatia, namely the A4 motorway north of Zagreb, the A1 motorway between Zagreb and Bosiljevo 2 interchange south of Karlovac and finally the A6 motorway between Bosiljevo 2 interchange and Rijeka and it connects to nearly all motorway interchanges on that route either directly or via connecting roads. The road is long. The D3 state road is concurrent in parts of its route with other state roads, most notably the D1 between Zagreb and Karlovac, as well as some sections of the A4 (south of Popovec interchange) and the A3 (between Ivanja Reka and Lučko interchanges) motorways. Varaždin County
Varaždin County ( hr, Varaždinska županija) is a county in Northern Croatia. It is named after its county seat, the city of Varaždin. Geography The county contains the city of Varaždin, the towns of: Ivanec, Ludbreg, Lepoglava, Novi Marof and Varaždinske Toplice, as well as 22 municipalities. It covers an area of and had a population of 175,951 in the 2011 census.
