Gordon Waterfield
Gordon Waterfield (1903–1987) was a British journalist, broadcaster and writer. He is chiefly known for his book ''What Happened to France?'', in which he documents his experiences as a journalist in France during World War II. World War II
World War II or the Second World War, often abbreviated as WWII or WW2, was a world war that lasted from 1939 to 1945. ''The World at War'' is a 26-episode British documentary television series that chronicles the events of the Second World War. It was produced by Jeremy Isaacs, narrated by Laurence Olivier and included music composed by Carl Davis. The book, ''The World at War'', published the same year, was written by Mark Arnold-Forster to accompany the TV series. ''The World at War'' attracted widespread acclaim and now it is regarded as a landmark in British television history.
