Gordon Ramsey
Gordon Ramsey (June 19, 1930 – November 5, 1993) was an American actor and singer, who was based in New York City. Early life Ramsey was born in Minneapolis, on June 19, 1930. Career After moving to New York in 1958, Ramsey made his acting debut in the Off-Broadway theater musical, ''The Man Who Never Died''. Some of his notable performances included hosting a local children's television show as "Bozo the Clown" and voicing characters in the animated series '' Star Blazers''. He appeared in the 1979 Broadway musical ''Carmelina'' and sang on the show's original cast recording. In a 1969 episode of the TV show ''What's My Line?'', Ramsey appeared as Bozo the Clown as a Mystery Guest. Later in the same episode, Ramsey appeared as himself without the clown makeup, requiring the panel to guess his line, which celebrity panelist Phyllis Newman did. What's My Line?
''What's My Line?'' is a panel game show that originally ran in the United States on the CBS Television Network from 1950 to 1967, originally in black and white and later in color, with subsequent U.S. revivals. The game uses celebrity panelists to question contestants in order to determine their occupation, i.e. their "line of work". The majority of the contestants were from the general public. However, there was one weekly celebrity "mystery guest" for which the panelists were blindfolded. It is on the list of longest-running U.S. primetime network television game-shows. Originally moderated by John Charles Daly and most frequently with regular panelists Dorothy Kilgallen, Arlene Francis, and Bennett Cerf, ''What's My Line?'' won three Emmy Awards for "Best Quiz or Audience Participation Show" in 1952, 1953, and 1958 and the Golden Globe Awards for Best TV Show in 1962. ''A Return to Salem's Lot'' is a 1987 American vampire film co-written and directed by Larry Cohen and starring Michael Moriarty, Andrew Duggan, Samuel Fuller, Evelyn Keyes, and June Havoc. A theatrical sequel to the 1979 miniseries '' Salem's Lot'', the film follows an anthropologist and his son who encounter supernatural incidents and vampirism in the small town of Salem's Lot. Cohen had previously written a screenplay for the 1979 ''Salem's Lot'' miniseries that had been rejected by Warner Bros. at the time. Years later, the studio approached Cohen to write and direct a low-budget feature for them; he proposed a sequel to ''Salem's Lot''.
