Gordon Head Baseball Association
Gordon Head Baseball Association, located in the municipality of Saanich, just north of Victoria, British Columbia, provides a comprehensive baseball program for players from four to 100 years old, in eight separate divisions, including Blastball, Initiation, Novice, Mosquito, Pee Wee, Bantam, Midget and Junior Men's. Known as Gordon Head Little League from 1957 through 2002, when it became affiliated with Baseball B.C., Gordon Head Baseball Association incorporated Lambrick Park Baseball in 2012. The organization is a member of the British Columbia Minor Baseball Association (BCMBA) and, under the jurisdiction of the Greater Victoria Baseball Association (GVBA), plays locally in Lambrick Park. The current president is Steve Gaskin, and the chief umpire is Barry Whelan. Baseball is a bat-and-ball sport played between two teams of nine players each, taking turns batting and fielding. Saanich, British Columbia
Saanich ( ) is a district municipality on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, within the Greater Victoria area. Lambrick Park Secondary School is a four-year (grades 9-12) public secondary school located in Saanich, British Columbia, Canada. It is on the traditional lands of the Lekwungen people. The school, part of Greater Victoria's School District 61, opened for the 1976-77 academic year and had its first graduates in 1978. Michael Saunders
Michael Edward Brett Saunders (born November 19, 1986) is a Canadian former professional baseball outfielder. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Seattle Mariners, Toronto Blue Jays, and Philadelphia Phillies. He was nicknamed "The Condor" by Dave Sims, who attributed the origin of it to Lee Tinsley. And also, "Captain Canada". Steve Nash
Stephen John Nash (born 7 February 1974) is a Canadian professional basketball coach and former player who most recently served as head coach of the Brooklyn Nets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played 18 seasons in the NBA, where he was an eight-time All-Star and a seven-time All-NBA selection. Nash was a two-time NBA Most Valuable Player while playing for the Phoenix Suns. Martin Nash (soccer)
Martin Nash (born December 27, 1975) is a Canadian soccer coach and former player. He is currently the head coach of York United of the Canadian Premier League. A five-time all-league selection in the USL-1 and its predecessor, the A-League, Nash has won four league championships, two with the Rochester Rhinos in 2000 and 2001 and two with the Vancouver Whitecaps in 2006 and 2008.
