Goran Rakić
Goran Rakić (, ; born 1971) is a Kosovo Serb politician who was serving as Minister for Communities and Returns in the Government of Kosovo from 22 March 2021 until his resignation on 5 November 2022. Prior to this, he served as the Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo and as the Minister of Administration and Local Government. He is a former mayor of North Mitrovica and the current president of the Serb List, an ethnic Serb minority political party. Early life Goran Rakić was born in 1971 in Titova Mitrovica (Kosovska Mitrovica / Mitrovica), which was then a part of the SFR Yugoslavia, to an ethnic Serb family. He graduated from the Faculty of Economics, University of Priština. He was employed as the director of JKP "Standard" Kosovska Mitrovica, and before that in the Fire Station Kosovska Mitrovica. Titova Mitrovica
Mitrovica ( sq-definite, Mitrovicë; sr-cyrl, Митровица) or Kosovska Mitrovica ( sr-cyrl, Косовска Митровица) is a city and Municipalities of Kosovo, municipality located in Kosovo. Settled on the banks of Ibar River, Ibar and Sitnica rivers, the city is the administrative center of the District of Mitrovica. In 2013, following the North Kosovo crisis (2011–2013), North Kosovo crisis, the Kosovo Serbs, Serb-majority municipality of North Mitrovica was created, dividing the city in two administrative units. Krstimir Pantić
Krstimir Pantić ( sr-Cyrl, Крстимир Пантић; born 1972) is a Kosovo Serb politician. He served as mayor of northern Kosovska Mitrovica from 2010 to 2013. He was re-elected to the position following the 2013 Brussels Agreement but refused to take the formal oath of office as the document was in the name of the Republic of Kosovo, which Serbia does not recognize. He subsequently served in the National Assembly of Serbia from 2014 to 2016 as a member of the Serbian Progressive Party. Ramush Haradinaj
Ramush Haradinaj (; born 3 July 1968) is a Kosovo Albanian politician, leader of the AAK party, and the third prime minister of Kosovo. He is a former officer and leader of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA), and previously served as Prime Minister of Kosovo between 2004 and 2005. Following the dissolution of Yugoslavia, Haradinaj was the KLA's commander for western Kosovo. Following the conflict, Haradinaj went into politics but soon resigned after becoming one of the KLA commanders charged by the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) with war crimes and crimes against humanity against Serbs, Romani and Albanians between March and September 1998 during the Kosovo War. Budva ( cnr, Будва, or ) is a Montenegrin town on the Adriatic Sea. It has 19,218 inhabitants, and it is the centre of Budva Municipality. (born 30 August 1951) is a Kosovar Albanian politician and businessman who served as the first deputy prime minister of Kosovo and minister of foreign affairs from 2017 to 2019 under the Ramush Haradinaj's government. Pacolli is a former president of Kosovo, and previously served as the first deputy prime minister of Kosovo between 2011 and 2014. Milan Radoičić
Milan Radoičić (, ; born 21 February 1978) is a controversial Serbian businessman and politician. He is the vice president of the Serb List, an ethnic Serb minority political party in Kosovo. Community Of Serb Municipalities
The Community of Serb Municipalities ( sr, / ), or Association of Serb Municipalities ( sq, Asociacioni i Komunave Serbe, AKS), is a planned self-governing association of municipalities with a Serb majority population in Kosovo. The proposal for the association came as a result of the 2013 Brussels Agreement negotiated and concluded by the governments of Kosovo and Serbia. In accordance with the competences given by the European Charter of Local Self-Government and Kosovo law, the participating municipalities would be entitled to cooperate in exercising their powers collectively through the association. Kosovo Serbs
Kosovo Serbs are one of the ethnic groups of Kosovo. There are around 100,000 Kosovo Serbs as of 2014 and about half of them live in North Kosovo. Other Serb communities live in southern Kosovo. After Albanians, they form the largest ethnic community in Kosovo (4-7%). The medieval Kingdom of Serbia (1217–1346) and the Serbian Empire (1346–1371) included parts of the territory of Kosovo until its annexation by the Ottomans following the Battle of Kosovo (1389), considered one of the most notable events of Serbian history.
