Goose Island is a hamlet in Argyle, Washington County, New York, United States. Hebron is a town in Washington County, New York, United States. It is part of the Glens Falls Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town population was 1,773 at the 2000 census. The town is named after the same-named community in Connecticut. Geography Hebron's beautiful hills and valleys are part of the slate valley of the Upper Taconic Mountains (''Taghkanic,'' meaning 'in the trees'), and part of the Great Appalachian Valley (also known as the 'Great Valley').
