Geography Goombungee is 35 km north-west of Toowoomba in the Darling Downs. The town is located in the centre of the locality. The main street through the town is the north-south Kingsthorpe Haden Road, which is known with the town as Mocatta Street. The Shire of Rosalie was a local government area in the Darling Downs region of Queensland, Australia, immediately northwest of the regional city of Toowoomba. The shire, administered from the town of Goombungee, covered an area of , and existed as a local government entity from 1879 until 2008. In 2008, it amalgamated with several other councils in the Toowoomba area to form the Toowoomba Region. Geography The Shire of Rosalie was centred approximately north-northwest of the city of Toowoomba, west of Brisbane and northwest of the Gold Coast. Geography Haden is a small rural town approximately north of Toowoomba and north west from Brisbane. The town is set high on the Great Dividing Range, resulting in a high number of windy days. History In August 1889 the Queensland Government provided of land for a cemetery for Goombungee, Queensland, Goombungee. However, the soil proved too difficult to dig a grave, so another cemetery reserve was provided on 17 January 1894 (which is now within the boundaries of Haden). Douglas is a rural locality in the Toowoomba Region, Queensland, Australia. In the , Douglas had a population of 112 people. Geography The Pechey-Maclagan Road runs through the locality from east to west. The predominant land use is grazing on native vegetation and crop growing. History German settlers arrived in the district in 1875. A Lutheran congregation formed and worshipped in private homes, until the Jesus Lutheran Church was opened on 24 July 1882 on the Douglas Plainby Road (). The church was enlarged in 1938.
