Lake Goodwin is a former census-designated place (CDP) in Snohomish County, Washington, United States. The population was 3,354 at the 2000 census. The CDP was discontinued at the 2010 census. Based on per capita income, one of the more reliable measures of affluence, Lake Goodwin ranks 58th of 522 areas in the state of Washington to be ranked. Geography Lake Goodwin is located at (48.142455, -122.284668). According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 5.3 square miles (13.6 km2), of which, 4.0 square miles (10.3 km2) of it is land and 1.3 square miles (3.3 km2) of it (24.14%) is water. Goodwin Sports Centre is a sporting facility and gym in the Crookesmoor area of the city of Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. Its facilities include a 33 m swimming pool, bouldering wall, tennis court, cricket nets, gymnasium (known as S10health), sports hall and several synthetic pitches. Goodwin Fire
The Goodwin Fire was a wildfire that burned in the U.S. state of Arizona over 16 days, from June 24 and July 10, 2017. The fire's cause was not determined by investigators. 17 homes were destroyed and another 19 structures were damaged, but there were no fatalities or injuries resulting from the fire. The fire was first detected on June 24, 2017, by a two-man fire patrol that spotted smoke in the Bradshaw Mountains, near Prescott, Arizona. Benefiting from undisturbed chaparral and high winds, the fire spread rapidly and forced the evacuation of several townships within Yavapai County, Arizona and the closure of Arizona State Route 69. Goodwin & Company was an American tobacco manufacturer from New York City. Initially E. Goodwin and Brother, the company was founded before the American Civil War. It was known for its cigarette brands "Gypsy Queen" and "Old Judge". In 1890, the company was merged, along with four others, into James Buchanan Duke's American Tobacco Company to create an American monopoly on tobacco product manufacturing and retail. Charles Goodwin Emery (died 1915), who had the principal interest in Goodwin & Company, became Treasurer of the American Tobacco Company.
