Goodnight, My Love
''Goodnight, My Love'' is a 1972 American television film directed by Peter Hyams. Plot In 1946 Los Angeles Susan Lakely visits private detectives Francis Hogan and Arthur Boyle when her boyfriend Michael Tarlow does not call for four days. Upon visiting his apartment the detectives are attacked by an unknown assailant who flees. They press Susan for more information about her boyfriend's associates but she claims to be unaware of the nature of his business. After questioning further people at the horse track they visit a nightclub and speak with Julius Limeway, who is also searching for Tarlow. Together the detectives must see through Susan's lies and discover the truth behind Tarlow's disappearance. Raymond Thornton Chandler (July 23, 1888 – March 26, 1959) was an American-British novelist and screenwriter. In 1932, at the age of forty-four, Chandler became a detective fiction writer after losing his job as an oil company executive during the Great Depression.
