Good Soldier Songs is a London-based, Independent Music Publishing Company, owned by Christian Tattersfield. Established in 2003, Good Soldier Songs represent writers such as Biffy Clyro, The 1975, Freya Ridings, Ollie Green, John Gibbons, The Wombats, Birdy, Gavin James and David Gray. Good Soldier Songs was awarded Publisher of the Year by Music Business Worldwide in 2016 as well as 2018. Christian Tattersfield
Christian Tattersfield is the founder of Good Soldier Songs and previously served as the CEO of Warner Music UK and as chairman of Warner Bros. Records UK. Early career Tattersfield began his career in music at London Records in 1990, establishing new labels Systematic and Internal. In 1997, he moved to BMG where he founded the NorthWestSide imprint, whose signings included Jay-Z, Another Level and NSYNC. Tattersfield founded 14th Floor Records in 2002 as a joint venture with Warner Music UK, where he signed Biffy Clyro, the Wombats, Damien Rice and Ray LaMontagne. The 1975 are an English pop rock band formed in 2002 in Wilmslow, Cheshire. Now based in Manchester, the band consists of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Matthew "Matty" Healy, lead guitarist Adam Hann, bassist Ross MacDonald, and drummer George Daniel. John Gibbons is an Irish DJ and record producer based in London. He is best known for his singles, " Would I Lie to You" and the follow-up, "P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing)". Gavin Wigglesworth, known professionally as Gavin James, is an Irish singer-songwriter. In March 2013 and March 2016, he won two Choice Music Prize Irish Song of the Year award. Early life Gavin was born in Dublin on 5 July 1991 and grew up in a household surrounded by music. Gavins' dad would play Cat Stevens, Sam Cooke and Bob Dylan whilst his sister Emma sang and toured with a musical in Ireland. Ridings rose to prominence in 2017 with her ballad, " Lost Without You", which became a top ten hit on the UK Singles Chart.
