Greeting
Greeting is an act of communication in which human beings intentionally make their presence known to each other, to show attention to, and to suggest a type of relationship (usually cordial) or social status (formal or informal) between individuals or groups of people coming in contact with each other. Greetings are sometimes used just prior to a conversation or to greet in passing, such as on a sidewalk or trail. While greeting tradition, customs are highly culture- and situation-specific and may change within a culture depending on social status and relationship, they exist in all known human cultures. Greetings can be expressed both audibly and physically, and often involve a combination of the two. This topic excludes military and ceremonial salutes but includes rituals other than gestures. A greeting, or salutation, can also be expressed in written communications, such as letters and emails. Some epochs and cultures have had very elaborate greeting rituals, e.g. greetin ...

Good Mourning
''Good Mourning'' is the fourth studio album by American punk rock band Alkaline Trio, released May 13, 2003 on Vagrant Records. Background and production Towards the end of May 2002, the band recorded their next album; they "decided that waiting until after Warped Tour would be too long." Recording sessions were held at Cello Studios with producers Joe McGrath and Jerry Finn. The album marks the first appearance of drummer Derek Grant, described by vocalist/guitarist Matt Skiba as "a whole new influence." During recording, both Skiba and vocalist/bassist Dan Andriano were ill. Alkaline Trio had planned a tour with One Man Army in early 2003, but the tour was cancelled due to Skiba having strained vocal chords; the album's recording was subsequently delayed. Brian Gardner mastered the recordings at Bern Grundman Mastering. Skiba describes the album as sounding "bigger, deeper and rawer" than its predecessor, ''From Here to Infirmary''. In a 2003 interview, Matt Skiba state ...

Good Morning Good Morning
"Good Morning Good Morning" is a song by the English rock band the Beatles from their 1967 album '' Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band''. It was written by John Lennon and credited to Lennon–McCartney. Inspiration for the song came to Lennon from a television commercial for Kellogg's Corn Flakes. Another reference to contemporary television was the lyric "It's time for tea and '' Meet the Wife''", referring to the BBC sitcom. Lennon himself was critical of the track. "It's a throwaway, a piece of garbage, I always thought," he once said. "I always had the TV on very low in the background when I was writing, and it came over, and then I wrote the song." Recording The basic track was recorded on 8 February 1967, with overdubs on 16 February (bass guitar and lead vocals), 13 March (brass section), 28 March (backing vocals and guitar solo), and 29 March (animal noises). The guitar solo was played by Paul McCartney on a Fender Esquire. At Lennon's request, George Martin brough ...

Good Morning (magazine)
''Good Morning'' was an American political humor magazine published launched in May 1919 by Ellis O. Jones, formerly an associate editor of ''Life'' magazine and veteran radical cartoonist Art Young. Both had worked together on the staff of the left wing monthly ''The Masses.'' Funded in large part by donations, the magazine was financially troubled from the outset and over time it was forced to decrease in frequency from weekly to semi-monthly to monthly. Costs still continued to outstrip revenues, however, and the publication was terminated in October 1921. An effort by Young to revive the publication in 1922 as the ''Art Young Quarterly'' failed after just a single issue. History Establishment The short-lived magazine ''Good Morning'' began early in 1919 through the joint efforts of 53-year-old cartoonist Art Young and a former associate editor of ''Life'' magazine, Ellis O. Jones.Daniel Aaron, "Good Morning: New York, 1919-1921," in Joseph R. Conlin (ed.), ''The American R ...

Good-morning
The good-morning is a weight training exercise. It is known as a good morning because of the movement in the erector spinae which resembles the bow that traditionally begins a schoolday in some East-Asian countries. The erector spinae muscles of the lower back work isometrically to keep the spine in an extended position while the hamstrings and gluteus maximus work isotonically to perform hip extension. Other muscles are involved in stabilizing weight on the back and maintaining balance. The degree of knee bend used will change the focus. The straighter the knees, the more the hamstrings are stretched and stressed by the movement and this stretch involves them more as the hip extensors. Bent knees can shift the weight forward, which allows the pelvis to drift back further as the body hinges in hip flexion. Importance The good-morning is an essential exercise in the Westside Barbell method and is often trained to near limit maxima. Developing strength in the lift aids in the re ...

The album deals with the difficulties of growing old as well as struggling with losing people in life, told over the course of day and a lifetime. It takes inspiration from the pop sounds of the 1980s, mixed with a modern view. Artwork The cover features Antonoff wearing a white prince outfit with his hand placed over his heart in a Polaroid style frame. According to Antonoff, the photo of himself on the cover is a view of what he might look like if he were dead. In a series of videos breaking down the album, he stated: That's why on the cover -- everyone's like, "what are you, a dictator?" And I'm like no, man, I'm dead. I'm supposed to be dead. I thought if I was dead, what would I look like? I'd be black and white, and I'd be regal, and dressed up. That's the picture you'd have on a mantel if I wasn't here anymore. The outfit was also used on the tour for Gone Now. Accolades ...

Marauder (Blackfoot Album)
''Marauder'' is the fifth studio album of Southern rock band Blackfoot, released in 1981. The album continued in the same vein as their previous successes, '' Strikes'' (1979) and ''Tomcattin''' (1980). Opening up with the heavy "Good Morning", and including the ballad "Diary of a Workingman", ''Marauder'' also sported the hit "Fly Away", which reached No. 42, and another Shorty Medlocke appearance on the "Rattlesnake Rock n' Roller", this time with a spoken introduction and banjo solo. ''Marauder'' was the last of their albums that were purely hard, driving, rock – they unsuccessfully introduced synthesizers to their sound through the 1980s, and their popularity waned. Eduardo Rivadavia describes ''Marauder'' as "...one of the band's best hard rockers to date", and "the last great Blackfoot album". The band officially broke up amid declining fortunes in the mid-1980s, though Medlocke resumed recording under the name Blackfoot a few years later. He is now, again, a member of ...
