Gonzalo García Zorro
Gonzalo García Zorro ( 1500 – 1566) was a Spanish conquistador who participated in the Spanish conquest of the Muisca people. García Zorro was ''encomendero'' (mayor) of Santa Fe de Bogotá for seven terms, and received the ''encomiendas'' of Fusagasugá and Fosca. He married three times, twice with Muisca women, and had one daughter, Francisca, and a son, Diego. García Zorro died of wounds he suffered in a duel with Alonso Venegas. Venegas was the son of fellow conquistador Hernán Venegas Carrillo and the grandson through his mother of Sagipa, the last ''zipa'' (leader) of the Muisca, whom García Zorro had helped to kill. Knowledge of the life of García Zorro comes from the works ''Elegías de varones ilustres de Indias'' (1589) and ''El Carnero'' (1638), by Juan de Castellanos and Juan Rodríguez Freyle respectively. Gonzalo Manuel García García (born 13 October 1983), sometimes known simply as Gonzalo García or Gonzalo, is a professional football manager and former player. Born in Uruguay, he moved to Spain at the age of 13. Gonzalo García Torres (born 24 March 2004) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a forward for Real Madrid Castilla. Career García is a youth product of SEK, Club Santa Bárbara, and Jarama Race, before joining the youth academy of Real Madrid in 2014. He had a year long-stint with Mallorca's academy in 2018–19 when his family moved there, before returning to Real Madrid. Gonzalo Manuel García (born February 18, 1984) was an Argentine-born Italian rugby union player for Zebre in the Pro14 competition. Gonzalo García's position was centre. Gonzalo Garcia is a Spanish American ballet dancer. He joined the San Francisco Ballet in 1998, and was promoted to principal in 2002, at age 22. In 2007, he left the company and joined the New York City Ballet. He retired from performing in 2022 and remains in the company as a repertory director. Early life Garcia was born in Zaragoza, and trained at Maria de Avila's school. In 1995, he attended a summer intensive at the San Francisco Ballet School, where de Avila's daughter Lola taught. Later that year, he won the Prix de Lausanne at the age of 15, making him the youngest dancer to receive the award. After that, he returned to the San Francisco Ballet School as a full time student.
