Stephen William Gonsalves (born July 8, 1994) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Chicago Cubs organization. He has played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Minnesota Twins and Boston Red Sox. Listed at and , the throws and bats left-handed. Career Gonsalves attended Cathedral Catholic High School in San Diego, California. He was drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the fourth round of the 2013 Major League Baseball Draft. He was expected to be selected earlier in the draft, but was suspended from his senior season for nearly a month after lying to his dean to cover for his roommate smoking marijuana. Gonsalves had committed to play college baseball for San Diego. Minnesota Twins Gonsalves signed with the Twins and made his professional debut with the Gulf Coast Twins. Robert "Rob" Gonsalves (July 10, 1959 – June 14, 2017) was a Canadian painter of magic realism (surrealism). He produced original works, limited edition prints and illustrations for his own books. His style is similar to that of Salvador Dalí or René Magritte. Early life Gonsalves was born in Toronto, Ontario. As a teenager, he was inspired by Progressive Rock album cover art of groups like Genesis, Yes, and Gentle Giant. Their fantasy and surrealism sparked his artistic direction. His love of the urban environment and Victorian architecture found its way into his paintings. Rob Gonsalves studied Architecture at Ryerson Technical University and learned how to manipulate perspective. This became an important element in the narrative of his paintings. Harold Gonsalves (January 28, 1926 – April 15, 1945) was a United States Marine Corps private first class who was killed in action during the Battle of Okinawa in World War II.
