"Gonna Take Some Time" is a duet recorded by Australian singers, Jimmy Barnes and his daughter, Mahalia Barnes. It was released in October 2005 as the third single from Jimmy's eleventh studio album, '' Double Happiness'' (July 2005). It was co-written by former band mates, Mahalia and Jade MacRae. Mahalia Violet Barnes (born 12 July 1982) is an Australian singer, songwriter and the daughter of Scottish-Australian rock singer Jimmy Barnes and Jane Mahoney. Liberation Records is an American record company based in the Los Angeles area known for do it yourself ethos and pioneering guerrilla marketing strategies. It was formed by then 16-year-old underground rock music fanzine publisher David Taba in 1994 out of his residence, simply as a hobby. "Bird on the Wire" is one of Leonard Cohen's signature songs. It was recorded 26 September 1968 in Nashville and included on his 1969 album ''Songs from a Room''.
