Gona Ganna Reddy
Gona Ganna Reddy (1262–1296 CE), son of king Gona Budda Reddy who contributed to the Ranganatha Ramayanam as Dwipada Kavyam in the Telugu Language and a military chieftain to one of the few ruling queens Rani Rudrama Devi in Indian history. He ruled Vardhamaanapuram now called as Nandi Vaddeman in Nagarkurnool district. Gona Ganna Reddy had two brothers and one sister. They were poets Gona Kacha Reddy, Gona Vitalanatha and Kuppambika. Gona Kacha Reddy and Vitalanatha contributions include the completion of the Uttarakaanda section in the Ranganatha Ramayanam. Ranganatha’s version was the first and foremost Ramayanam written in Telugu literary history by Gona Budda Reddy. Gona Budda Reddy
Gona Budda Reddy, also known as Ranganatha (13th century CE), was a poet and ruler living in southern India. Written work His '' Ranganatha Ramayanam'' was a pioneering work in the Telugu language on the theme of the ''Ramayana'' epic. Most scholars believe he wrote it between 1300 and 1310 A.D., possibly with help from his family. The work has become part of cultural life in Andhra Pradesh and is used in puppet shows. Mahbubnagar District
Mahabubnagar district is a district in the Indian state of Telangana. Mahabubnagar is the district headquarters which is popularly known as Palamoor. The district shares boundaries with Narayanapet, Vikarabad, Rangareddy, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy and Jogulamba Gadwal districts. Telugu people ( te, తెలుగువారు, Teluguvāru), or Telugus, or Telugu vaaru, are the largest of the four major Dravidian ethnolinguistic groups in terms of population. ''Rudramadevi'' is a 2015 Indian Telugu-language 3D biographical action film based on the life of Rudrama Devi, one of the prominent rulers of the Kakatiya dynasty in the Deccan, and one of the few ruling queens in Indian history. Kakatiya Dynasty
The Kakatiya dynasty (IAST: Kākatīya) was an Indian dynasty that ruled most of eastern Deccan region comprising present day Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, and parts of eastern Karnataka and southern Odisha between 12th and 14th centuries. Their capital was Orugallu, now known as Warangal. Early Kakatiya rulers served as feudatories to Rashtrakutas and Western Chalukyas for more than two centuries. They assumed sovereignty under Prataparudra I in 1163 CE by suppressing other Chalukya subordinates in the Telangana region. ''Sri Ranganatha Ramayanamu'' (శ్రీ రంగనాథ రామాయణము) is one of the most famous adaptions of the Valmiki ''Ramayana'' in Telugu, a Dravidian language spoken by the people of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Wanaparthy is a town of Wanaparthy district of Telangana, India. The first polytechnic college (KDR Government Polytechnic) in Telangana started in Wanaparthy. It is located 149 km from the state capital Hyderabad. History Wanaparthy was governed by a feudal ruler, Rameshwar Rao II is visiting Raja of Wanaparthy in 2008, who was a vassal of the Nizam of Hyderabad.
