Golpes A Mi Puerta
''Knocks at My Door'' ( es, Golpes a mi puerta) is a 1994 Venezuelan drama film directed by Alejandro Saderman. Adapted from the play by Juan Carlos Gené, the film was selected as the Venezuelan entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 67th Academy Awards, but was not accepted as a nominee. Plot A fugitive bursts into the home of two Catholic nuns. In an attempt to save his life, they hide him from the marauding military patrols, despite the danger they face if they are caught. List Of Venezuelan Submissions For The Academy Award For Best Foreign Language Film
Venezuela has submitted films for the Academy Award for Best International Feature Film since 1978. The award is handed out annually by the United States Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to a feature-length motion picture produced outside the United States that contains primarily non-English dialogue. Venezuela has had thirty-one films accepted by AMPAS for Oscar consideration, but none have yet been nominated for an Academy Award. However, in 2014 the official submission '' The Liberator'' was included in the January shortlist along with nine other foreign submissions. In 2005, their official submission, '' 1888: El Extraordinario Viaje de Santa Isabel'', did not arrive in time due to a dispute with a rival film, '' Secuestro Express''. This is a list of submissions to the 67th Academy Awards for Best Foreign Language Film. The Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film was created in 1956 by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to honour non-English-speaking films produced outside the United States. The award is handed out annually, and is accepted by the winning film's director, although it is considered an award for the submitting country as a whole. Countries are invited by the Academy to submit their best films for competition according to strict rules, with only one film being accepted from each country. For the 67th Academy Awards, forty-six films were submitted in the category Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. The submission deadline was set on November 1, 1994.
