Robert Golob
Robert Golob (born 23 January 1967) is a Slovenian businessman and politician, serving as Prime Minister of Slovenia and leader of the Freedom Movement since 2022. Early life and education Golob obtained his PhD in electrical engineering at the University of Ljubljana in 1994. After his studies, he was a post-doctoral Fulbright scholar in the United States at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta. Business career In 2004, Golob co-founded an energy trading company GEN-I, which is state-controlled, and where he remained chairman until 2021. Alissa Golob is a Canadians, Canadian anti-abortion, pro-life activist, and co-founder of RightNow, a political group that aids in electing pro-life candidates in local nomination elections. Personal life Golob was born and raised in Sarnia, Sarnia, Ontario, the oldest of nine children. Golob's mother was pregnant with her as a teenager, and nearly chose to have an abortion, but changed her mind against her doctor's advice. As a young teenager, Golob saw a photograph of an aborted fetus, and was determined to participate in the Canadian anti-abortion movement. Jani Golob (born 18 January 1948) is a Slovenian composer, violinist, arranger and professor. His music opus is often on the thin line of classic, pop and jazz. Golob has composed operas, ballets, orchestral works, chamber and vocal music, as well as numerous Slovenian film scores, and music for television and for advertising purposes. Tadej Golob (born 1967) is a Slovene mountaineer and writer. Golob was born in Maribor in 1967 and grew up in the small town of Lenart v Slovenskih goricah in northeastern Slovenia. He moved to Ljubljana to study journalism but never completed his studies. He worked as a contributor to various magazines, but is known in Slovenia chiefly as an alpine climber. In 2010 Golob won the Kresnik Award for best novel with his debut novel (Pigs' Legs). It is a witty story of an aspiring comics artist looking for inspiration, trying to make ends meet and coping on the margin with a non-existent career, his family and society. Career Throughout her younger years Mariša Golob competed in karate, artistic gymnastics and basketball. In 2011, she joined a local gym and met her current coach Erni Gregorčič. Berta Golob (born 9 August 1932) is a Slovene writer and poet, a retired teacher and librarian. Golob was born in Struževo which is now part of Kranj in 1932. She studied Slavistics at the University of Ljubljana and worked as a teacher and librarian. She is a prolific writer of children's books, in recent years mostly on religious subjects and has also published four poetry collections that also have a religious theme.
