Golfland-Sunsplash is a water park and family entertainment center located in Mesa, AZ. The location is separated into two parks. Golfland operates as a year-round FEC and features three miniature golf courses, an arcade, a pizza restaurant, a go-cart track, bumper cars, and bumper boats. Sunsplash operates in the summer and features 29 water-based attractions. The park opened in 1983 and the water park opened in 1986. Scandia is a brand name of Scandinavian-themed family amusement centers in California. Although each location shares a similar name, nearly each location is owned and operated by different companies. Scandia Fun Center in Sacramento, and Scandia Family Fun Center in Victorville and the former, Scandia Amusement Park, in Ontario are owned by Scandia Amusements. The Ontario location was sold in February 2019 to an unknown buyer, who will convert the property for other uses. Some of the attractions will be moved to the Victorville location while others, including the Miler Big Coaster, have been listed for sale. Big Surf
Big Surf was a waterpark located in Tempe, Arizona. Opened in 1969 and financed by the Clairol Company, it boasted the first wave pool in the United States. However Point Mallard Water Park had one first. It is located in Decatur, Alabama. The wave pool was designed by Phil Dexter. At a ceremony on August 17, 2013 the Waikiki Beach Wave pool was designated as an ASME Historic Mechanical Engineering Landmark. The recognition is for being the "first inland surfing facility in North America". The Big Surf Water park became the first amusement park or waterpark to receive such an ASME landmark status. Roseville, California
