Goldklang Group
The Goldklang Group is a sports ownership and management group. Led by Marvin Goldklang, the group includes Jeff Goldklang, Bill Murray, Mike Veeck, and Tom Whaley. The Goldklang Group has interests in the Charleston RiverDogs of Low-A East, the Pittsfield Suns of the Futures Collegiate Baseball League, and the St. Paul Saints, formerly of the American Association and as of 2021, a member of Triple-A East in Minor League Baseball (MiLB). The Fort Myers Miracle of the Florida State League, now known as the Fort Myers Mighty Mussels, was the group's first MiLB team and was sold to SJS Beacon in April 2014. They formerly owned the Hudson Valley Renegades of High-A East before selling the team in 2021 to Endeavor Group Holdings. Triple-A East
The International League (IL) is a Minor League Baseball league that operates in the United States. Along with the Pacific Coast League, it is one of two leagues playing at the Triple-A level, which is one grade below Major League Baseball (MLB). The league traces its roots to 1884, while the modern IL began in 1912. Following MLB's reorganization of the minor leagues in 2021, it operated as the Triple-A East for one season before switching back to its previous moniker in 2022. It is so named because throughout its history the International League had teams in Canada and Cuba as well as those in the United States. Since 2008, however, all of its teams have been based in the US. Tyler Tumminia
Tyler Adwen "Ty" Tumminia (born ) is an American sports executive and former commissioner of the Premier Hockey Federation (PHF). Prior to her involvement with the PHF, she was a baseball executive and partial owner of several Minor League Baseball (MiLB) teams. Career Tumminia worked in public relations with IBM before making her foray into sports in 2003 as an intern with the Hudson Valley Renegades. Her time as an intern was short, as the team named her director of community relations just six weeks after she began her internship. Tumminia ultimately remained with the Renegades organization for less than a year as, in 2004, she joined the Goldklang Group, a sports entertainment consulting and management firm. The South Atlantic League, often informally called the Sally League, is a Minor League Baseball league with teams predominantly in states along the Atlantic coast of the United States from New York to Georgia. A Class A league for most of its history, the league was promoted to High-A as part of Major League Baseball's 2021 reorganization of the minor leagues. Fort Myers Mighty Mussels
The Fort Myers Mighty Mussels are a Minor League Baseball team of the Florida State League and the Single-A affiliate of the Minnesota Twins. They are located in Fort Myers, Florida, and play their home games at the Lee County Sports Complex at Hammond Stadium, which has a capacity of 7,500 and opened in 1991. The Florida State League (FSL) is a Minor League Baseball league based in the state of Florida. Marvin Goldklang
Marvin Goldklang is a minority owner of the New York Yankees and the majority owner of the Pittsfield Suns in Massachusetts. He is also the principal owner of the Charleston RiverDogs, the New York Yankees’ affiliate in the Class A South Atlantic League. Since 2004, he has been in the Hall of Fame of the South Atlantic League. Futures Collegiate Baseball League
The Futures Collegiate Baseball League (FCBL) is an eight-team collegiate summer baseball league. It has four franchises in Massachusetts, two in Connecticut, and one each in New Hampshire and Vermont. Format The Futures League is a wood-bat league. Its regular season schedule calls for 68 games per team as of 2021 (34 home and 34 away games). FCBL ballplayers are unpaid collegiate athletes who join the league to gain experience and exposure to Major League Baseball scouts.
