Gold Line (Guangzhou)
Line 13 of the Guangzhou Metro is a rapid transit rail line currently in operation as of 28 December 2017 in Guangzhou, China. It is envisioned to be the "East West express line" complementing Line 3 which is the "North South express line". The line serves some of the most popular areas in Guangzhou such as Luochongwai Bus Terminal, Zhujiang New Town CBD and Yuancun while passing through some of the densest and most populated areas of Tianhe, Yuexiu, and Liwan Districts. Due to the density of the areas served, demand for this line is expected to be high, with an average mature daily ridership predicted at 1.44 million passengers per day when both phases are complete. Knowing this, engineers designed Line 13 to use 8 car wide body Type A rolling stock, the highest capacity rolling stock in the Guangzhou Metro to date. Yuexiu District is one of 11 urban districts of the prefecture-level city of Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong Province, China, located west of the Tianhe District and east of the Liwan District. Tianhe District, Guangzhou
Tianhe District () is one of the eleven districts of Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong province. In Chinese, the name Tianhe literally means "a river in the sky/heavens", which is also a Chinese name for the Milky Way. It is bordered by Yuexiu District on the west, Baiyun District on the north and Huangpu District on the east. Haizhu District is on its south, though they are separated by the Pearl River. Tianhe became a district in the 1980s as the city expanded its size. Back then, it was east of Dongshan District (which was merged into Yuexiu in 2005) and retained a suburban or even rural atmosphere. Guangzhou Bus Rapid Transit
Guangzhou Bus Rapid Transit (Guangzhou BRT or GBRT) is the bus rapid transit (BRT) system of the city of Guangzhou in the People's Republic of China. Its first line was put into operation on 10 February 2010. It handles approximately 1,000,000 passenger trips daily with a peak passenger flow of 26,900 pphpd (second only to the TransMilenio BRT system in Bogota, Colombia).
