''Gold Chain Cowboy'' is the major label debut album by American country music singer Parker McCollum. It was released through MCA Nashville on July 30, 2021 and follows two self-released albums ''The Limestone Kid'' (2015) and ''Probably Wrong'' (2017). It was produced by Jon Randall and includes the number one singles " Pretty Heart" and " To Be Loved by You". Content ''Gold Chain Cowboy'' was confirmed for release in mid-2021. The album consists of ten songs, all of which McCollum co-wrote. Prior to the album's release, " Pretty Heart" and " To Be Loved by You" were both issued as singles. Jon Randall produced the album. Critical reception Markos Papadatos of Digital Journal rated the album 4.5 out of 5 stars, stating that "There is a rawness and honesty to McCollum’s music. Parker Yancey McCollum (born June 15, 1992) is an American Americana (music), Americana and country music, country singer-songwriter based in Texas. The owner of PYM Music, he released his first single and EP in 2013, and his full-length debut album ''The Limestone Kid'' was released on February 24, 2015. ''The Austin Chronicle'' gave the release 3.5/5 stars, writing that "it's too early to declare ''The Limestone Kid'' debut of the year, but it's already one to beat," and comparing McCollum's music to that of Charlie Robison. McCollum and his backing band announced a 2015 tour of Texas in support of the album, performing at events such as Redgorilla, RedGorilla Music Fest. Bryan Sutton
Bryan Sutton is an American musician. Primarily known as a flatpicking acoustic guitar player, Sutton also plays mandolin, banjo, ukulele, and electric guitar. He also sings and writes songs. Biography Early career Sutton's grandfather and father were regionally recognized fiddlers, and Sutton grew up playing in the family band, the Pisgah Pickers. In 1991, he played guitar for Karen Peck and New River, a gospel group. In 1993, he moved to Nashville. Ricky Skaggs Sutton first came to prominence in 1997 as lead guitarist in Ricky Skaggs' band Kentucky Thunder when Skaggs returned to bluegrass. Jedd Hughes (born in Quorn, Australia) is an Australian singer, songwriter, session musician, and record producer. Early life Hughes grew up in Quorn, where he grew up listening to his father's country records. The pedal steel guitar is a Console steel guitar, console-type of steel guitar with pedals and knee levers that change the pitch of certain strings to enable playing more varied and complex music than any previous steel guitar design. Like all steel guitars, it can play unlimited glissando, glissandi (sliding notes) and deep vibrato, vibrati—characteristics it shares with the human voice. Dan Dugmore
Dan Dugmore is an American session musician known primarily for playing the pedal steel guitar Born in 1949, Dugmore was raised in Pasadena, California. Influenced by the Flying Burrito Brothers, he learned to play steel guitar after Flying Burrito Brothers member Sneaky Pete Kleinow sold him one. Dugmore then joined John Stewart's road band, and then Linda Ronstadt's; he also played for several James Taylor albums. In the 1990s, he moved to Nashville, Tennessee, where he began playing steel guitar on country music albums. He self-released a Beatles cover album in 2003 titled ''Off White Album''. John Cowan
John Cowan (born August 24, 1953) is an American soul music and progressive bluegrass vocalist and bass guitar player. He was the lead vocalist and bass player for the New Grass Revival. Cowan became the band's bassist in 1972 after the departure of original bassist Ebo Walker and was noted as being the only member of New Grass Revival not to come from a bluegrass background. Biography After the disbandment of the New Grass Revival, Cowan released a soul record of covers, called ''Soul'd Out'', for the Sugar Hill Records label in 1990.
