Sister Sparrow & the Dirty Birds is a Brooklyn, New York-based seven-piece soul/rock band. The band is led by singer Arleigh Kincheloe, with Jackson Kincheloe on harmonica, Josh Myers on bass, Dan Boyden on drums, Phil Rodriguez on trumpet, and Brian Graham on baritone and tenor saxophones. The album was recorded on New Year's Eve, 2015, although not in the originally planned venue, Daryl's House in New York ( Daryl Hall's concert venue). Just a month in advance of their concert, Daryl decided to play that night at his joint, and the Dirty Bird's concert was canceled, and the band had to scramble to find another hall to play in for their planned recorded concert. They managed to land on their feet at the Warehouse at the Fairfield Theatre Co. in Connecticut and still sold out in advance. Sabrina Louise Bernstein, better known by her stage name Sizzy Rocket, is an American musician, singer, and songwriter. In 2016, she released her debut album, ''Thrills'', and toured the record nationwide as direct support for Kitten''.'' In the same year she started her first independent record label Diet Punk Records, now Lost Chrrry Records. On this new label, Rocket collaborated with The KickDrums to create a punk rock band called ''Shiny Wet Machine''. Optigan
The Optigan (a portmanteau of Optical Organ) is an electronic keyboard instrument designed for the consumer market. The name stems from the instrument's reliance on pre-recorded optical soundtracks to reproduce sound. Later versions (built under license and aimed at the professional market) were sold under the name Orchestron. Production history Engineering work on the project began in 1968 and the first patents issued in 1970. The Optigan was released in 1971 by Optigan Corporation, a subsidiary of toy manufacturer Mattel, Incorporated of El Segundo, California with the manufacturing plant located nearby in Compton, California. Mellotron
The Mellotron is an electro-mechanical musical instrument developed in Birmingham, England, in 1963. It is played by pressing its keys, each of which pushes a length of magnetic tape against a capstan, which pulls it across a playback head. As the key is released, the tape is retracted by a spring to its initial position. Different portions of the tape can be played to access different sounds. The Mellotron evolved from the similar Chamberlin, but could be mass-produced more efficiently. The first models were designed for the home and contained a variety of sounds, including automatic accompaniments. Bandleader Eric Robinson and television personality David Nixon helped promote the first instruments, and celebrities such as Princess Margaret were early adopters.
