"Gold" is the third single by Australian musician Chet Faker from his debut studio album, ''Built on Glass'' (2014). The song was released in Australia as a digital download on 2 June 2014, by Future Classic. It was voted number seven on the Triple J Hottest 100, 2014. The song was scored for the " New MacBook – Reveal" video during the Apple Watch Event on 9 March 2015. The song was shortlisted for Song of the Year at the APRA Music Awards of 2015. Music video A music video to accompany the release of "Gold" was first released on YouTube on 12 August 2014 at a total length of four minutes and nineteen seconds. Nicholas James Murphy (born 23 June 1988), known professionally as Chet Faker, is an Australian singer and songwriter. In 2012, as Chet Faker, he issued an extended play, '' Thinking in Textures'', and signed to Downtown Records in the United States. In October 2012, he won Breakthrough Artist of the Year and ''Thinking in Textures'' won Best Independent Single/EP at the Australian Independent Records Awards. In January 2013, the work won Best Independent Release at the ''Rolling Stone'' Australia Awards for 2012. Acton () is an unincorporated census-designated place in Los Angeles County, California, near the Antelope Valley. According to the 2010 census, Acton had a population of 7,596. Acton is a small residential community located between the Sierra Pelona Mountains and the San Gabriel Mountains. It is off the Antelope Valley Freeway ( Highway 14) south of Palmdale. Acton is roughly northeast of the San Fernando Valley, and north of downtown Los Angeles by highway. The town has a rural western theme which can be seen in its homes, commercial buildings and historical buildings, some of which date back to the late 1800s. "Skateaway" is a 1980 rock song by Dire Straits, dealing with a female roller-skater breezing through busy city streets, while listening to a portable radio through her headphones.
