Gokulam Kerala
Gokulam Kerala Football Club is an Indian professional football club based in Calicut, Kerala. Founded in 2017, the club competes in the I-League, the second tier of Indian football league system. They won the 2020–21 I-League to become the first ever club from Kerala to win an I-League title, and became the first team to defend the I-League title in 2021–22 season. Gokulam is also the first club from Kerala to qualify for a continental competition, the AFC Cup. Nicknamed ''Malabarians'', Gokulam Kerala represents the state of Kerala, predominantly its Malabar region. Malabar Coast
The Malabar Coast is the southwestern coast of the Indian subcontinent. Geographically, it comprises the wettest regions of southern India, as the Western Ghats intercept the moisture-laden monsoon rains, especially on their westward-facing mountain slopes. Fernando Andrés Santiago Varela (born 4 June 1973) is an Argentine-born Spanish football coach. He is the current head coach of I-League 2 club Bengaluru United. 2017–18 I-League
The 2017–18 I-League was the 11th season of the I-League. Aizawl were the defending champions. NEROCA entered as the promoted team from the 2016–17 I-League 2nd Division. The season began on 25 November 2017. Teams All India Football Federation invited bids for new teams on 21 July 2017 from Bengaluru, Mumbai, New Delhi, Ranchi, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Bhopal, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Malappuram and Trivandrum, among others. Kerala Premier League is a state-level top football league organized by the Kerala Football Association and played in the state of Kerala, India.
