''Going Inside a Storm'' (russian: Иду на грозу, Idu na grozu) is a 1966 Soviet drama film directed by Sergei Mikaelyan. It was based on the novel by Daniil Granin, who also wrote a screenplay together with Mikaelyan. Plot summary Protagonists, Sergei Krylov ( Aleksandr Belyavskiy) and Oleg Tulin (Vasili Lanovoy), are promising young physicists in the field of thunderstorms. They dream of weather control. But later their ways in science parted - Oleg is ready to tradeoff his standpoints for personal success, but Sergei knows that the truth is more critical. Sergey Gerasimovich Mikaelyan (russian: Серге́й Гера́симович Микаэля́н; 1 November 1923 – 10 December 2016) was a Soviet Union, Soviet film director and winner of the USSR State Prize (1976). He directed ten films between 1965 and 1986. His 1983 film ''Love by Request'' was entered into the 33rd Berlin International Film Festival. Biography Sergey Mikaelyan was born on 1 November 1923 in Moscow. When he was seventeen he voluntarily served in the Great Patriotic War and was wounded at Battles of Rzhev, Rzhev. In 2015 he published a novella titled "Not Killed at Rzhev" (russian: Не убит подо Ржевом) about his experiences in the war. In 1951 he graduated from the directing department of Russian Academy of Theatre Arts, GITIS (workshop of Boris Zakhava, Maria Knebel, A. Pavel Petrovich Kadochnikov (russian: Павел Петрович Кадочников; – 2 May 1988) was a Soviet and Russian actor, film director, screenwriter and pedagogue. People's Artist of the USSR (1979) and Hero of Socialist Labour (1985). Biography Pavel Kadochnikov was born in Petrograd in 1915. In 1927, he entered a children's artistic studio, dreaming to become a professional artist, but, because of the severe illness of his father, Pavel, as the elder in the family, was forced to become the apprentice to a metal craftsman. However, he continued to study in the studio. In 1929, he entered the actor's department of theatrical school of TYuZ. Vasily Semyonovich Lanovoy (russian: Василий Семёнович Лановой; (16 January 1934 – 28 January 2021) was a Soviet and Ukrainian Russian actor who worked in the Vakhtangov Theatre, Moscow. He was also known as the President of Artek Festival of Films for Children. Lanovoy's honours include the KGB Prize, the Lenin Prize, and the title of People's Artist of the USSR. In 2019, he received the title of Hero of Labour of the Russian Federation. Pavel Borisovich Luspekayev (russian: Па́вел Бори́сович Луспека́ев) (20 April 1927, Luhansk — 17 April 1970, Moscow) was a Soviet actor who is best known for his role of Vereschagin in the classic Russian movie ''White Sun of the Desert''. Laureate of the State Prize of the Russian Federation (1997, posthumously). Biography Pavel Luspekayev was born in Luhansk, Ukrainian SSR in 1927. His father Bogdasar Luspekyan was an Armenian butcher from a village near Nakhichevan-on-Don (Russian city founded by Armenian settlers). His mother Seraphima Kovaleva came from Don Cossacks. During the Great Patriotic War he joined the Soviet partisans at the age of 16 and fought shortly after with the 3rd Ukrainian Front.
