Gogita Arkania
Gogita Arkania (born 26 May 1984) is a Georgian karateka. He is a two-time gold medalist at the World Karate Championships (2014 and 2021). He also represented Georgia at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. Career Arkania won the gold medal in the men's kumite 84 kg event at the 2014 World Karate Championships in Bremen, Germany. In 2017, Arkania competed in the men's kumite 84 kg event at the World Games held in Wrocław, Poland. He lost two out of three matches in the elimination round and he did not advance to the semi-finals. At the 2019 European Games held in Minsk, Belarus, he won one of the bronze medals in the men's +84 kg event. In 2021, Arkania qualified at the World Olympic Qualification Tournament held in Paris, France to compete at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. 2020 Summer Olympics Closing Ceremony
The closing ceremony of the 2020 Summer Olympics took place in the Olympic Stadium in Tokyo for about two and a half hours from 20:00 ( JST) on 8 August 2021. The closing ceremony of the Olympic Games, which was postponed for one year due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, was held without spectators. The scale was also reduced compared to past ceremonies as athletes were required to leave the Olympic Village 48 hours after their competitions finished. The proceedings combined the formal ceremonial closing of this international sporting event (including closing speeches, the parade of athletes and the handover of the Olympic flag) with an artistic spectacle to showcase the culture and history of the current and next host nation (France) for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. During the closing ceremony of the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, the flag bearers for the 205 National Olympic Committee's (NOCs) and the IOC Refugee Olympic Team will enter the Olympic Stadium ''Olympic Stadium'' is the name usually given to the main stadium of an Olympic Games.
