Godzilla 2000
is a 1999 Japanese ''kaiju'' film directed by Takao Okawara, written by Hiroshi Kashiwabara and Wataru Mimura, produced by Shogo Tomiyama and starring Takehiro Murata, Hiroshi Abe, Naomi Nishida, Mayu Suzuki and Shiro Sano. Produced and distributed by Toho Studios, it is the 24th film in the ''Godzilla'' franchise, as well as the first film in the franchise's Millennium period. The film was also the 23rd ''Godzilla'' film to be produced by Toho, and was Toho's second reboot of the ''Godzilla'' franchise after the 1984 film ''The Return of Godzilla''. Takao Okawara
is a Japanese film director, writer, and producer. Biography Most famous for his entries in the Heisei ''Godzilla'' series, Takao Okawara joined Tōhō in 1973, but would not get his first shot in the director's chair until 1980, when he joined Akira Kurosawa and Ishirō Honda on the film ''Kagemusha'' (1980). Four years later, he worked as an assistant director for the first ''Godzilla'' film of the Heisei series: ''The Return of Godzilla is a 1984 Japanese ''kaiju'' film directed by Koji Hashimoto, with special effects by Teruyoshi Nakano. Kenji Suzuki (director)
is a Japanese special effects director and actor. Biography Suzuki had a rather short career at Toho as a special effects director of theatrical films, which only spanned across one Mothra movie and two Godzilla films. It appears that Suzuki might have taken the blunt of the blame for '' Godzilla vs. Megaguirus'' (2000) box office failure, which is why his career might have ended so abruptly. Before Suzuki became a director of special effects, he was the assistant special effects director for ''The Imperial Navy'' (1981) as his first production. Terraforming
Terraforming or terraformation ("Earth-shaping") is the hypothetical process of deliberately modifying the atmosphere, temperature, surface topography or ecology of a planet, moon, or other body to be similar to the environment of Earth to make it habitable for humans to live on. The concept of terraforming developed from both science fiction and actual science.
