Godwin Ogbaga
Godwin Ogbaga is a Nigerian politician and seasoned administrator who was Minister of State for Power and Steel during the short term of Maj. Gen Abdulsalami Abubakar Background Godwin Ogbaga was born in October 1956 in Ebonyi State, South Eastern Nigeria. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics in 1979 from University of Ife now Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. He thereafter proceeded for his one-year compulsory National Youth Service in the same year at Nigeria Institute of Social and Economic Research, University of Ibadan. He also got an LLB (Hons.) degree in Law in 1995 at the University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus and later attended the Nigeria Law School, Lagos. He was called to the bar in March 1996, and qualified for legal practice as a Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. Abdulsalami Abubakar
Abdulsalami Abubakar (; born 13 June 1942) is a Nigerian statesman and retired Nigerian Army general who served as the ''de facto'' President of Nigeria from 1998 to 1999. He was also Chief of Defence Staff between 1997 and 1998. He succeeded General Sani Abacha upon his death. During his leadership, Nigeria adopted a modified version of the 1979 constitution, which provided for multiparty elections. He transferred power to president-elect Olusegun Obasanjo on 29 May 1999. He is the current Chairman of the National Peace Committee. Ebonyi State ( ig, Ȯra Ebonyi) is a state in the South-East geopolitical zone of Nigeria, bordered to the north and northeast by Benue State, Enugu State to the west, Cross River State to the east and southeast, and Abia State to the southwest. Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) is a federal government-owned university that is located in the ancient city of Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria. National Youth Service Corps
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) is a program set up by the Nigerian government during the military regime to involve Nigerian graduates in nation-building and the development of the country. There is no military conscription in Nigeria, but since 1973 graduates of universities and later polytechnics have been required to take part in the National Youth Service Corps program for one year. The Nigerian Law School is an educational institution set up by the Government of Nigeria in 1962 to provide a Nigerian legal education to foreign-trained lawyers, and to provide practical training for aspiring Legal Practitioners in Nigeria. Until the school was established, legal practitioners in Nigeria had received the requisite training in England and had been called to the English Bar.
