Gothi or (plural , fem. ; Old Norse: ) was a position of political and social prominence in the Icelandic Commonwealth. The term originally had a religious significance, referring to a pagan leader responsible for a religious structure and communal feasts, but the title is primarily known as a secular political title from medieval Iceland. Pont-ar-Gothi
Pont-ar-gothi (otherwise Pontargothi or Cothi Bridge) is a village in Carmarthenshire, West Wales. The village takes its name from the bridge where the A40 Road trunk road crosses the River Cothi. It lies some east of Carmarthen. Cothi Bridge Show Cothi Bridge Agricultural Society was established in 1898. The Cothi Bridge Show contains breeders and exhibitors and attracts visitors from a large area. It also has a ladies section that was introduced in 1972. Villa Godi
A villa is a type of house that was originally an ancient Roman upper class country house. Since its origins in the Roman villa, the idea and function of a villa have evolved considerably. After the fall of the Roman Republic, villas became small farming compounds, which were increasingly fortified in Late Antiquity, sometimes transferred to the Church for reuse as a monastery. Franco Godi
Franco Godi (born 10 June 1940) is an Italian composer, conductor, arranger and record producer. Born in Milan, Godi grew up in Prato where he started his musical activity as the member of a band. After working in a local radio station, in 1962 he composed his first jingle for the Bertolli oil, and from then he became the most active composer in the field of commercials and Caroselli in Italy, as to be called "Mr. Jingle". Godi was also active as a film score composer, particularly in the field of animation where he had a long collaboration with Bruno Bozzetto, and also composed theme songs for a large number of television programs and series. He is the founder of the record label Best Sound, which produced some of the early hip hop Italian groups, including Articolo 31 and Gemelli Diversi. Snorri Þorgrímsson (Old Norse: ; Modern Icelandic: ) or Snorri Goði (O.N.: ; M.I.: ; 963–1031) was a prominent chieftain in Western Iceland, who featured in a number of Icelandic sagas. The main source of his life is the '' Eyrbyggja saga'', in which he is the main character, although he also figures prominently in '' Njál's saga'' and the '' Laxdæla saga''. Snorri was the nephew of Gísli Súrsson, the hero of ''Gísla saga'', and son of Þorgrímr Þorsteinsson whom Gísli killed in revenge to fulfill a blood-oath.
