Goatstown
Goatstown () is a small Southside suburb of Dublin, Ireland. To the west is Dundrum, to the east is Blackrock, to the south is Sandyford, and to the north Ranelagh. It is mainly a residential area, with a primary school called Our Lady’s Grove, and two all-girls secondary schools, Mount Anville and Our Lady’s Grove Secondary School (Previously called Jesus and Mary). There are amenities such as restaurants, a pub, a post office and various shops. Nature Goatstown is primarily a residential area, with extensive housing developments from the middle decades of the 20th century onwards, with little local industry. It is roughly centred on a pub named the Goat Grill, at the intersection of Goatstown Road and Taney Road, where there has been a pub since the early 18th century. The road starts in Clonskeagh at the junction with the R117 ( Milltown Road) and passes through Goatstown, Kilmacud and Stillorgan before ending at a junction with the N31 in Blackrock, County Dublin. The R826 road is a regional road in south Dublin, Ireland. The road runs from the Dundrum junction of the M50 (Junction 13) as passes through or near Ballinteer, Dundrum and Balally before terminating at the junction with the R112 close to Goatstown. The route runs on mostly new road, built to facilitate the M50 and Dundrum Town Center and is 2.5 km (1.5 miles) long. Paul Murphy (Irish Politician)
Paul Murphy (born 13 April 1983) is an Irish People Before Profit/Solidarity politician who has been a Teachta Dála (TD) for the Dublin South-West constituency since the 2014 Dublin South-West by-election. He served as a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) for the Dublin constituency from 2011 to 2014. He was previously a member of the Socialist Party and Solidarity, but left in September 2019 to form a new party, RISE. Green Line (Luas)
The Green Line () is one of the two lines of Dublin's Luas light rail system. The Green Line was formerly entirely in the south side of Dublin city. It mostly follows the route of the old Harcourt Street railway line, which was reserved for possible re-use when it closed in 1958. The Green Line allows for passenger transfers at O’ Connell GPO and Marlborough to Luas Red Line services and also allows commuters to use Broombridge as an interchange station to reach outer suburbs such as Castleknock and Ongar. William Dargan Bridge, opened in 2004, is a cable-stayed bridge in Dundrum, Dublin in Ireland. It carries the Luas light rail line (Green Line) across a busy road junction.
