La Chaux-de-Fonds railway station (french: Gare de La Chaux-de-Fonds) serves the municipality of La Chaux-de-Fonds, in the canton of Neuchâtel, Switzerland. Regional rail, also known as local trains and stopping trains, are passenger rail services that operate between towns and cities. Belfort – Montbéliard TGV is a high speed railway station located in Meroux, Territoire de Belfort, eastern France. The station was opened in 2011 and is located on the LGV Rhin-Rhône connecting railway. The train services are operated by SNCF. It serves the cities of Belfort and Montbéliard and surrounding areas. RegioExpress (RE) is a fast regional train service in Switzerland, run by Swiss Federal Railways (SBB CFF FFS) or other railway companies (such as TILO, BLS, tpf, transN, THURBO or RhB). It is comparable to the Regional-Express in Germany, Austria and Luxembourg. Its speed is considerably faster than regional trains at the same level, as it does not stop at all stations served by the regional trains. Nonetheless, it is slightly slower than InterRegio trains.
