Glory (Manafest Album)
''Glory'' is the third studio album by the Christian rapper Manafest. It was released on September 26, 2006 under BEC Recordings. The release contains the single "Impossible", featuring Trevor McNevan of Thousand Foot Krutch. Critical reception The album received very positive reviews from most professional music sites and reviews. Justin Mabee of Jesus Freak Hideout praised the album saying: "Sophomore records seem to always be hard to make, even if a debut doesn't do as well as some artists would like. It seems that Manafest got some pointers and used them to his advantage, and with ''Glory'', it blows his debut out of the water. Manafest
Christopher Scott Greenwood (born July 19, 1979), known by his stage name Manafest, is a Canadian Christian rapper and rock artist from Pickering, Ontario, Canada. He has won multiple awards for the GMA Canada Covenant Awards, GMA Dove Awards, and has been nominated for multiple Juno Awards. Signed for a decade with BEC Recordings, Manafest became independent in 2015. History After a skateboarding accident in 1998, Greenwood shifted his focus to musical writing. He and fellow rapper Jusachyl started a hip-hop group, Under One King. During this time, Greenwood used his skater nickname 'Speedy' as his moniker. Velvet Empire
Velvet Empire was a Canadian pop music group that was formed through the second edition of the Global TV show ''Popstars'', entitled "Boy Meets Girl". The group was formed in Spring 2002. They recorded their first and only album in Toronto at Metalworks Recording Studio. The group were winners of a 10-month competition, intended to form a pop group comprising both males and females. Its members were Alex Price, Justin Humes, Janelle Belgrave, Lacey Block and Ryan Hamilton. The new group called itself Velvet Empire and released an album, ''Velvet Empire'', and single, "Frontin' On Me", in 2002.
