Gloria Lindsay Luby is a Canadian former politician. Luby was a Toronto city councillor and former Deputy Speaker of Toronto City Council in Toronto, Ontario, Canada for Ward 4 Etobicoke Centre. She represented one of the two Etobicoke Centre wards. Lindsay Luby is also a former chair of the Government Management Committee. Career She was a successful businesswoman and consultant before entering politics. She first served as a trustee on the Etobicoke school board, and then became an Etobicoke city councillor. When Etobicoke was merged with the City of Toronto and four other municipalities in 1997, she was elected to the Toronto City Council. She was a member of the Toronto Police Services Board for the period December 2000-December 4, 2003. The 2003 Ontario general election was held on October 2, 2003, to elect the 103 members of the 38th Legislative Assembly (Members of Provincial Parliament, or "MPPs") of the Province of Ontario, Canada. The 2006 Toronto municipal election took place on 13 November 2006 to elect a mayor and 44 city councillors in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. In addition, school trustees were elected to the Toronto District School Board, Toronto Catholic District School Board, Conseil scolaire de district du Centre-Sud-Ouest and Conseil scolaire de district catholique Centre-Sud. David Raymond Miller (born December 26, 1958) is an American-Canadian lawyer and former politician who served as the 63rd mayor of Toronto from 2003 to 2010. Following his career in politics, Miller briefly returned to law before serving as president and CEO of the World Wildlife Fund Canada (WWF-Canada) from 2013 to 2017, after which he began working as the director of international diplomacy at C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group. Ernie Eves
Ernest Larry Eves (born June 17, 1946) is a Canadian lawyer and former politician who served as the 23rd premier of Ontario from 2002 to 2003. A Progressive Conservative, he took over the premiership upon Mike Harris's resignation as party leader, but the party was defeated in the 2003 election by the Liberals, under Dalton McGuinty. Eves was born in Windsor, Ontario, to a working-class family. He studied law at Osgoode Hall Law School and practised law in his own firm, Green & Eves.
