Gloria Epstein
Gloria Jean Epstein is a supernumerary judge of the Court of Appeal for Ontario. She had also previously been appointed to the Court of Ontario. On January 1, 2015, Epstein retired to become a supernumerary judge, and was replaced as a full-time judge by Bradley W. Miller. Epstein graduated in 1972 from Queen's University, earning an Honours Bachelor of Commerce. Epstein is a graduate of the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, earning a Bachelor of Laws in 1977. She founded one of the first Toronto-based law firms that was owned by a woman. She often lectures on the role of female lawyers in Canadian law and her own experience in being raised to the bench while raising three children. The Toronto Police Services Board (TPSB) is the civilian police board that governs the Toronto Police Service (TPS). The board is responsible for approving the annual police budget, defining objectives and policies for TPS, and hiring Chief of the Toronto Police Service, Toronto's police chief. Warren Winkler
Warren Keith Winkler, (born December 10, 1938) is a Canadians, Canadian jurist and a former Chief Justice of Ontario. Appointed by Prime Minister of Canada, Prime Minister Stephen Harper on June 1, 2007, Winkler was previously Regional Senior Judge of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice for the Toronto Region. Winkler reached the mandatory retirement age of 75 on December 10, 2013, and has since retired as the Chief Justice of Ontario. He served as Chair of the Order of Ontario Advisory Council. Andromache Karakatsanis
Andromache Karakatsanis (born October 3, 1955) is a Canadian jurist. She was nominated to the Supreme Court of Canada by Stephen Harper in October 2011. She is the first Greek-Canadian judge on the Court. Early life Karakatsanis was born in Toronto, Ontario, to Greek parents, and raised with an emphasis on her Greek heritage. She grew up near the Don Mills Road and Lawrence Avenue area of Toronto, where her parents owned a restaurant called Top of the Mall which was where Karakatsanis worked as a hostess and helped her father manage the restaurant.
