The Global Young Academy is an international society of young scientists, aiming to give a voice to young scientists across the globe.... Membership strength is capped at 200, and the membership tenure is 5 years. Organization and membership The Global Young Academy (GYA) aims to be the "Voice for Young Scientists" and encourages international, intergenerational, and interdisciplinary collaboration and dialogue. InterAcademy Partnership
The InterAcademy Partnership (IAP) is a global network consisting of over 140 national and regional member academies of science, engineering, and medicine. It was founded in 1993 as the InterAcademy Panel (IAP). In 2000, the IAP founded the ''InterAcademy Council'' (IAC) and the ''InterAcademy Medical Panel'' (IAMP). The partnership was established in 2016 when it merged the three inter-related networks into IAP for Health (formerly ''IAMP''), IAP for Science (formerly IAP), and IAP for Policy (formerly IAC). Tilman Brück
Tilman Brück (born 10 December 1970) is a German economist specializing in development and the economics of peace, conflict and terrorism. He was full professor of development economics at Humboldt University of Berlin. He also headed the department of Development and Security at the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW). Brück is an expert on the economics of developing and transition countries such as Colombia, Mozambique, Angola, Uganda, Mongolia and the countries of Central Asia. In September 2012 it was announced that he was to replace Bates Gill as head of the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute, a global think-tank dedicated to research into security, conflict and arms control. Noble Banadda (14 May 1975 – 1 July 2021) was a Ugandan biosystems engineer, researcher and academic, who was a professor of biosystems engineering at Makerere University, Uganda's largest and oldest public university. He was appointed a full professor in 2012 at age 37, one of the youngest persons in the history of the university to attain full professorship.
