Global Strategy Group, often known by its initials GSG or simply as Global, is an American public relations and research firm. Founded in New York City in 1995, GSG has been described in the ''New York Times'' as a “a well-known Democratic consulting firm” and a “ubiquitous presence in New York’s circles of power”. GSG is noted for having advised former Governors of New York Eliot Spitzer and Andrew Cuomo, along with other notable New York politicians. Outside of New York, GSG has advised and polled on behalf of a litany of Democratic candidates running for both state and federal office. GSG also provides consultancy services in the private sector. Joseph Crowley (born March 16, 1962) is an American politician and consultant who served as U.S. Representative from New York's 14th congressional district from 1999 to 2019. He was defeated by Democratic primary challenger Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in what was viewed as one of the biggest upsets of the 2018 mid-term elections. Scott M. Stringer (born April 29, 1960) is an American politician who served as the 44th New York City Comptroller. A Democratic Party (United States), Democrat, Stringer also previously served as a New York State Assemblyman, and as the 26th borough president of Manhattan. The 2021 New York City mayoral election was held on November 2, 2021. Incumbent Mayor Bill de Blasio was term-limited and ineligible to run for re-election. On June 22, 2021, the primary elections for the Democratic and Republican primaries were held. Andrew Cuomo Sexual Harassment Allegations
Andrew Cuomo, the 56th governor of New York, was accused of sexual harassment by multiple women starting in December 2020, with the accusations covering a range of alleged behavior. He denied all allegations and has apologized for his comments being interpreted as sexually charged. The ''Times Union'' is an American daily newspaper, serving the Capital Region of New York. Although the newspaper focuses on Albany and its suburbs, it covers all parts of the four-county area, including the cities of Troy, Schenectady and Saratoga Springs. Melissa DeRosa is an American former government official. She served as Secretary to the former Governor of New York, Andrew Cuomo, from 2017 until 2021. Early life and education DeRosa was raised in Albany and Saratoga Springs, New York and has two siblings. She is the daughter of Giorgio DeRosa, a lobbyist who is a senior partner at Bolton-St. Johns, an Albany-based lobbying firm.
