Global Relations Forum
Global Relations Forum (GRF) is an independent, non-profit membership association founded on May 11, 2009 in Turkey with the committed support of 40 Turkish men and women who have assumed prominent roles in international fora and have received international recognition for their efforts throughout their careers. The founding members include former secretaries of state, university presidents, central bank governors, ECHR justice and retired ambassadors as well as leading business leaders, scholars, artists, and journalists. GRF is supposed to be a platform for engaging, informing and stimulating its members and all interested individuals in all matters related to international affairs and global issues. GRF advocates a global order of shared influence and accountability and seeks a constructive role for Turkey in that order. A global issue is a matter of public concern worldwide. This list of global issues presents problems or phenomena affecting people around the world, including but not limited to widespread social issues, economic issues, and environmental issues. Organizations that maintain or have published an official list of global issues include the United Nations, and the World Economic Forum. Mustafa Rahmi Koç (born 9 October 1930) is a Turkish businessman. In 2016, Forbes ranked him No. 906 richest person in the world with a net worth of $2.6 billion. Suzan Sabancı Dinçer, CBE (; born 1965), is a Turkish businesswoman and a member of the Sabancı family in third generation. She is currently chairperson of Akbank, as well as board member of Sabancı Holding. Career Suzan Sabancı Dinçer is the Chairman of Akbank. Sabancı Dinçer is also a board member of Sabancı Holding and a member of the Board of Trustees of Sabancı University. Sönmez Köksal (born 8 March 1940) is a career Turkish people, Turkish civil servant. He served in a variety of positions largely in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and in international organisations representing Turkey, and was Turkey's Ambassador to Iraq (1986–1990). Gülsün Sağlamer (born in 1945) is a Turkish academic, the third female rector in Turkey. Life Sağlamer was born in 1945 in Trabzon. After finishing primary and secondary education in her home city she obtained her MS from the School of Architecture in Istanbul Technical University (ITU). She carried out her post-doctoral studies at the Martin Centre, Department of Architecture- University of Cambridge, UK 1975-1976. She returned to Istanbul. She became associate professor in 1978, and professor in 1988 in ITU. Between 1994-1995 she was the visiting professor in Queen's University Belfast in Northern Ireland. Ferit Şahenk (, born 1964) is the Chairman of Turkey's Doğuş Group and one of the richest people in Turkey. Background Şahenk graduated from The American School in Switzerland (TASIS) and earned his B.A. from Boston College with a degree in Marketing and Human Resources in 1989. İlter Türkmen (born 8 November 1927) is a Turkish people, Turkish diplomat and politician.
