Glenlogan is a rural locality in the City of Logan, Queensland, Australia. It is part of the suburban development corridor south of Brisbane in the Greater Flagstone development area. History Glenlogan is situated in the Bundjalung traditional Indigenous Australian country. The locality takes its name from the former Glenlogan Park thoroughbred stud farm on Lance Road. Glenlogan was designated a locality within the Logan City by the Department of Natural Resources and Mines in September 2017. It was excised from land formerly in Jimboomba. Geography The ''Logan River'' forms the western and north-western boundaries. The Sydney–Brisbane rail corridor follows the south-eastern boundary. Flagstone is a suburban locality in the Greater Flagstone district of the City of Logan, Queensland, Australia. In 2018, the estimated population of Flagstone was 5,651 people. History Flagstone is situated in the Bundjalung traditional Indigenous Australian country. Towards the north of Flagstone is the Yugarabul traditional Indigenous Australian country of the Brisbane and surrounding regions. The suburb is named after Flagstone Creek which flows into the Logan River just south of Chadwick Drive in South Maclean. Suburban development started in Flagstone in 1996, with the development of nearby infrastructure and roads. Jimboomba is a town and locality in the City of Logan, Queensland, Australia. In the , the locality of Jimboomba had a population of 13,201 people. Geography Jimboomba is situated on the Mount Lindesay Highway, by road south-east of Logan Central and by road south of Brisbane central business district. The western part of Jimboomba is bordered by the new suburb of Glenlogan and the Logan River; the only bridge within the locality is Payne Bridge on Cusack Lane (). There is a low-level older bridge immediately to the north of Payne Bridge but this cannot be used by vehicular traffic. The Queensland Government's current plan is that Jimboomba will become a major residential and business area within the Brisbane metropolitan region, as part of the Greater Flagstone Priority Development Area, which will house up to 150,000 additional residents in coming decades. The Sydney–Brisbane railway corridor is a long standard-gauge railway corridor that connects the state capitals of Brisbane (Queensland) and Sydney (New South Wales) in Australia. Logan River
The Logan River ( Yugambeh: ''Dugulumba'') is a perennial river located in the Scenic Rim, Logan and Gold Coast local government areas of the South East region of Queensland, Australia. The -long river is one of the dominant waterways in South East Queensland that drains the southern ranges of the Scenic Rim and empties into Moreton Bay after navigating the City of Logan, a major suburban centre located south of Brisbane. The catchment is dominated by urban and agricultural land use. Near the river mouth are mangrove forests and a number of aquaculture farms. Yugambeh–Bundjalung, also known as Bandjalangic, is a branch of the Pama–Nyungan languages, Pama–Nyungan language family, that is spoken in north-eastern New South Wales and South-East Queensland. Yugambeh–Bundjalung was historically a dialect continuum consisting of a number of dialect, varieties, including Yugambeh dialect, Yugambeh, Nganduwal, Minjangbal, Njangbal (Nyangbal), Biriin, Baryulgil, Waalubal, Dinggabal, Wiyabal, Gidabal, Galibal, and Wudjeebal.
