The Scots ( sco, Scots Fowk; gd, Albannaich) are an ethnic group and nation native to Scotland. Chellis Glendinning (born 1947) is an author and activist. She has been called a pioneer in the concept of ecopsychology—the belief that promoting environmentalism is healthy. She is a social-change activist with an emphasis on feminism, bioregionalism, and indigenous rights. She promotes human cultures which are land-based and confined to bioregions, and is a critic of the use of technology. Ernest Glendinning (February 19, 1884 – May 17, 1936) was a British born American actor. Biography Glendinning was the son of British-American actors John Glendinning and Clara Braithwaite. In 1907 his father married actress Jessie Millward and she became Ernest's stepmother. Ernest attended Margate College before making his stage debut in 1903 in a walk on part in the Annie Russell play, ''Mice and Men''. James Glendinning
James Glendinning (June 2, 1849 – November 26, 1929) was an Ontario farmer and political figure. He represented Ontario North in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario as a Conservative member from 1890 to 1894. He was born in Brock Township, Canada West in 1849 and grew up there. In 1871, he married Elizabeth Doble. Glendinning served on the township council for Brock and was reeve from 1885 to 1890. He lived near Vroomanton Vroomanton, Ontario is a ghost town located just north-west of Sunderland, Ontario in Brock Township, Ontario. Paul Glendinning is a professor of Applied Mathematics, in the School of Mathematics at the University of Manchester who is known for his work on dynamical systems, specifically models of the time-evolution of complex mathematical or physical processes. His main areas of research are bifurcation theory (particularly global bifurcations); synchronization and blowout bifurcations; low-dimensional maps; and quasi-periodically forced systems. Ross William Glendinning (born 17 September 1956) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the East Perth Football Club in the West Australian National Football League (WANFL) and for the North Melbourne Football Club and the West Coast Eagles in the Victorian Football League (VFL).
