The Glattzentrum, more formally known as the Einkaufszentrum Glatt or Glatt shopping centre, is a shopping mall located in the Glatt Valley close to the Swiss city of Zurich. Politically, the mall is situated in the municipality of Wallisellen. The mall was opened in 1975, being modeled on similar malls in the United States. Like its US progenitors, the mall was intended to be accessed by car, and it is located close to the A1 motorway and provides spacious car parking. In 2010, phase 2 of the Stadtbahn Glattal opened, including an elevated tram stop linked to the mall by a footbridge. Before that the public transportation connections were limited to three bus lines (nr. 94, 759 and 787) connecting the center to the railway stations Zürich Airport, Zürich Oerlikon, Dübendorf, Wallisellen and Dietlikon. Zürich Oerlikon railway station (german: Bahnhof Zürich Oerlikon) is a railway station located in the District 11 of Zürich. Richti Shopping Center
Richti Wallisellen is a mixed-use development (residential, commercial, offices) on former industrial land situated between Wallisellen railway station and the 1970s-era Glattzentrum indoor shopping mall. The master plan of the new complex was designed by architect Vittorio Magnago Lampugnani on a model of an Italian city center. Richti Wallisellen is made of six five-storey high buildings and one 72-meter-high glass high-rise. Four buildings are for residential purpose. The first two, already inhabited, host private apartments and are respectively designed by Vittorio Magnago Lampugnani (Konradhof) and SAM Architekten (Escherhof). Dietlikon is a railway station in the Swiss canton of Zürich and municipality of Dietlikon (Glatt Valley). The station is located on the Zürich to Winterthur railway line. The station has a side platform and a central platform, providing three platform faces and serving all three tracks passing through the station. Wallisellen Railway Station
Wallisellen is a railway station in Switzerland, in the municipality of Wallisellen. It is located on the Zurich to Winterthur railway line, and is to the Zurich side of the junction with the Wallisellen to Rapperswil via Uster line. The railway station is adjacent to the newly built Richti Shopping development. Service The station is an interchange point between the Zurich S-Bahn and the Stadtbahn Glattal light rail system. It is served by Zürich tram route 12, operating on behalf of the Stadtbahn Glattal, and by S-Bahn lines S8, S14 and S19. On weekends, there is also a nighttime S-Bahn services (SN8) offered by ZVV. Wallisellen is served by four mainline tracks, numbered 3 through 6 (1 and 2 correspond to the Stadtbahn Glattal), accessed by two island platforms.
