Gladys Del Río
Gladys Yolanda del Río Uribe (December 29, 1941 – October 30, 2021) was a Chilean actress and comedian. Biography She married fellow actor and musician Jorge Pedreros in 1967, with whom she had a daughter called Claudia. During those years, del Río was studying at the Technical Pedagogical Institute of the State Technical University (UTE). There, she took her first steps on the stage, since she was one of the founders of Teknos, the university theater, where she acted alongside Sonia Viveros, Gabriela Medina and Luis Alarcón. In 1982 she was part of the cast of the telenovela ''De cara al mañana'' on Televisión Nacional de Chile (TVN). Canal 13 is a Chilean free-to-air television channel. It was launched on 21 August 1959, on VHF channel 2 of Santiago, in a broadcast led by a group of engineers from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. Subsequently, the TV station moved its frequency to VHF channel 13, which gave rise to its current name. In its beginnings, one of its most important milestones was the broadcast of the 1962 FIFA World Cup, held in Chile. Owned by the Luksic Group, Canal 13 is the second oldest television station in Chile. Jorge Arnaldo Pedreros Avilés (8 August 1942 – 14 September 2013) was a Chilean musician, record producer, actor and comedian. He was one of the creators of the iconic comedy show ''Jappening con Ja'' alongside Eduardo Ravani and Fernando Alarcón. Personal life Pedreros was born on 8 August 1942 in Santiago, Chile. He was married to Gladys del Río from 1967 until his death in 2013. Pedreros died on 14 September 2013 from complications of pneumonia, aged 71. Music career Pedreros is considered one of the forerunners of La Nueva Ola in Chile. He was a keyboardist and founder of ''The Lyons'', a support band for Peter Rock during 1958.
